About this spot
Cody Falls is a real, well-documented 20-foot drop on Mill Station Creek just above its confluence with Courthouse Creek in Pisgah National Forest near Balsam Grove. It's reached via FS-140 off NC-215 by creek-walking or bushwhacking down from Courthouse Falls; rocks are reported as very slippery. Multiple hiking blogs confirm the falls exist and match these coordinates, but none describe swimming or jumping culture here.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
