About this spot
Lower Slick Rock Falls is a 20 ft waterfall on Slick Rock Creek near its confluence with Rockhouse Creek in Pisgah National Forest, Transylvania County, distinct from the better-known Slick Rock Falls upstream. A short (roughly 0.2-mile) path from a small pullout follows the creek downstream past a roadside campground to a large rock wall at the falls. Rocks around the base are reported as very slippery. No documented swimming or jumping culture, and no facilities beyond informal creekside camping.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
