About this spot
No-Name Cove Falls is an unofficially-named multi-tier cascade in Pisgah National Forest near Balsam Grove, NC, with an overall drop reportedly over 100 ft across several steps. Access is a roughly 0.5-mile Class I bushwhack from FS 5032 through a gate and wildlife clearing on a faint path; reaching the base of the upper section requires a difficult scramble. No parking area, signage, or facilities. No documented swimming or jumping culture — this is a waterfall-bagging destination, not a known swimming hole, and the scramble to the base is exposed and slick.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
