About this spot
A 30-foot waterfall flowing over an overhanging bluff in Pisgah National Forest, reached via a short trail (roughly 100 yards) from a pullout on Forest Road 475B (Headwaters Road). Flow is seasonal and reduces to a trickle in dry periods, so it's best after rain. The trail area also connects to routes used by rock climbers heading to the south face of nearby Looking Glass Rock. No documented swimming or jumping culture was found; treat it as a scenic and climbing-access waterfall rather than a verified jump spot.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
