About this spot

Fawn Branch Falls sits on Fawn Branch just above its confluence with Kings Creek behind John Rock in Pisgah National Forest, near Brevard. A 2017 bushwhacking trip report describes it as a significant, previously undocumented cascade reached by leaving Kings Creek Falls and climbing a long, slick rock-slide stretch of Fawn Branch, with ice on shaded rocks in winter. There is no trail, and no swimming or jumping activity is documented; the only sources are a hiking catalog entry and that single trip report.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
