Upper Greasy Cove Falls is one of a cluster of remote waterfalls on Greasy Cove Prong in the Shining Rock Wilderness area of Pisgah National Forest near Canton, NC, running along the north side of Ivestor Ridge parallel to Dark Prong. Reaching it requires sustained off-trail hiking and creek navigation; there is no maintained trail, parking area, or facilities. No documented swimming or jumping culture — these falls are visited primarily by dedicated waterfall-baggers and canyoneers, not swimmers.
