About this spot

Coyote Falls is a well-documented 35-foot cascade on Little Whitewater Creek in Nantahala National Forest, just south of the popular Silver Run Falls parking area on NC 107 south of Cashiers. The 0.9-mile round-trip trail is lightly traveled, orange-ribbon marked, and best followed by tracking the creek upstream past downed trees. It's promoted as a quieter alternative to nearby Silver Run Falls for viewing, not for swimming — no source documents a pool suitable for jumping or an established swim culture here.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
