About this spot

Small multi-drop falls in Pisgah National Forest off Avery Creek Road (FR477), reached via US276 north of Brevard; a 2025 closure moved parking about 1.4 miles up FR477. Main falls run 10-15 ft with a 25 ft upper tier accessible by continuing the trail. A swimming hole sits at the base, but the scramble down is steep and loose -- not recommended for small kids. Water is cold, spring-fed Pisgah creek water year-round. No documented cliff-jumping reports; treat as a wading/dip spot rather than a jump spot until confirmed. Free to visit.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
