About this spot
Hanes Hole Falls is a small (roughly 5 ft) cascade on the Grundy Forest Day Loop Trail near Tracy City, part of the same Fiery Gizzard Creek system as Blue Hole Falls a short walk away. It's a real, well-photographed stop (Natural Atlas, Flickr, AllTrails, Tripadvisor), but the drop is too short for meaningful jumping — it reads as a wading/photo spot, not a jump site. General trail write-ups mention swimming opportunities along this stretch of creek but don't specifically document swimming or jumping culture at this exact falls.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
