About this spot
Devil's Glen is a small cascade on the West Branch Saugatuck River at the edge of Devil's Den Preserve in Weston, viewable from a roadside pull-off near a bridge with no dedicated trail and room for only one or two cars on the gravel shoulder. Cliff diving here is well documented but explicitly illegal: Weston police have posted notices banning swimming, wading, and jumping after repeated injuries and trash left by visitors, and a fisherman needed rescue near the falls in life-threatening condition. Granite ledges are slick, pools beneath the falls run shallow and uneven, and flow swings hard with rain, so depth and footing are unpredictable. No lifeguards, no legal cover if hurt.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
