About this spot
Big Bradley Falls is a 75-foot cascade on Cove Creek in Green River Game Land near Saluda, NC, reached via a steep, unmaintained trail with a roped 20-foot rock-wall descent. The pool at the base has long drawn swimmers and at least one known jump line, but the immediate falls area sits inside an NC Wildlife Resources Commission restricted zone — entry requires a signed agreement filed with the Commission, and unauthorized access is a misdemeanor. Seven-plus fatalities since 2000 came from people scrambling near the lip. The overlook trail stays open without a permit; reaching the water legally requires prior written approval. Rocks stay slick and mossy. Treat this as a permit-gated, high-consequence spot, not a casual roadside swim.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
