About this spot
Cave Falls (aka Upper Falls), the uppermost of Glen Onoko's three named falls near Jim Thorpe, PA (~15ft, notable for the cavern behind it), located about 175m from Onoko/Middle Falls (id 44577) — a distinct feature, not a duplicate. It shares the same 2019 official trail closure and posted "not a designated swimming area" signage as the rest of the glen, with drownings recorded despite the ban; access to this uppermost fall reportedly remains possible via a circuitous side trail.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
