About this spot
Todd Creek Falls is a 15-20 ft cascade in the Clemson Experimental Forest (jointly managed by Clemson University and Duke Energy) near Six Mile/Central, SC. An easy half-mile trail off Brookbend Road — park without blocking the lane — leads to a deep plunge pool that's a well-documented local swimming spot, covered by SC Picture Project, dozens of trail guides, hundreds of AllTrails reviews, and numerous videos. The pool holds enough depth for a short dip and casual jumping from streamside rocks, though exact jump heights aren't formally documented, so scout depth yourself first. The creek below the falls turns into dangerous Class IV+ whitewater on the way to Lake Hartwell — stay well upstream of that section. Trail can be grassy and slick after rain.
