About this spot

Lost Creek Falls is an 8-foot plunge with small cascades above and below, in the woods southwest of Cornucopia, Wisconsin. From County Highway C, turn onto Trail Drive to a parking area/trailhead, then follow a well-marked 1.5-mile forest trail with boardwalks and gravel to the falls. Visitors can walk behind the curtain of water, wade the shallow creek pool, and hop rocks downstream; it's popular for casual wading and cooling off rather than serious cliff jumping given its modest height. The trail bed and rocks near the falls can be slick, and the path crosses uneven forest terrain. Access is free and public on Bayfield County land, and it is well documented across multiple Wisconsin tourism sources.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
