About this spot
Siskiwit Falls sits on the Siskiwit River about half a mile from Cornucopia, Wisconsin, reached via Highway 13 to County Road C and a left onto Siskiwit Falls Road, where a bridge gives creek access. The falls are a series of sandstone slides and drops, the largest a roughly 10-foot natural waterslide, with three smaller 2-5 foot drops above and below. It's a well-known local swimming hole where kids and adults ride the slick rock chutes, so water shoes or shorts (not bare skin) are recommended on the sandstone. Access is free and public on Bayfield County land; mosquitoes are heavy in summer and a black bear has been reported nearby, so basic backcountry awareness applies. Water volume and slide safety vary with spring runoff and rainfall.
